Brooklands is a DDAPS day ticket water facility located near Dartford. Tickets are available for purchase at the bank from one of our courteous bailiffs.
Since the early 1930s, the complex has been administered by DDAPS and was one of the early pioneering waters of modern carp fishing. Carp have been around from the beginning!
If you haven't visited this roughly 17-acre gravel pit complex in a while, the terrain has undergone some significant alterations. Numerous formerly inaccessible locations may now be fished in relative comfort thanks to reconstructed routes.
Baldwins Lake: This is the tiniest body of water, located near to the Darent River. It is popular with clubs and pleasure anglers for matches (up to 30 pegs). We have spent much in recent years in restocking the lake with Carp, Tench, Bream, Roach, and Perch. Pike and Eels coexist with these species. Carp reach a weight of over 20 pounds in this lake, while Bream reach a weight of over 7 pounds.
In the summer, match and pleasure catches of over 80lb are not unusual, falling mostly to groundbait feeder techniques or sometimes the pole. This lake has a two-rod restriction. Barbless hooks are preferred but not required.
