The Willow Lake is part of the Railway Lakes complex in Thuxton, Norfolk, near Garvestone. Willow Lake is our newest match venue, having been dug out in 2001. Willow Lake runs parallel to Railway Lake's peg numbers 1-16.
With two chambers, a portakabin has been erected for use at this location, allowing groups fishing both the railway and the willow to draw from it. It's on the right when you approach the complex after crossing the bridge.
The lake is highly stocked, with carp ranging in size from 2 to 10 pounds. There's a good balance here! This banana-shaped lake is around 10 feet deep on average, and each peg has a fishing platform. You have roughly 6-8 feet of water at 6 m. Between the pegs that gave the stream its name, several willow trees have been planted, and the bordering reeds have also grown up wonderfully.
