A total of 50 acres of gravel pits have been divided into two little and three big pits. The depth varies from 3 to 20 ft and can fluctuate by only a few feet, especially near the many bars and peninsulars.
There is a great stock of roach, with specimens up to 2 pounds, a growing head of bream up to 15 pounds, and a good head of tench between 3 and 8 pounds, as well as perch, crucian carp, common carp, and pike. Most winters, specimens weighing more over 25 pounds are obtained.
A great three-quarter-mile section of the River Wensum is also on site, with good roach, dace, chub, and pike.
