The Club has 2.5 miles of water on the River Wear, between Durham City and Franklin Prison. Although less popular than other venues, this stretch of the Wear offers first class angling for sea trout and also provides salmon, trout and grayling fishing of a high standard. The Club now (2007) has fishing lower down the river known as Moorhouse Woods by the National Trust but shown on O.S maps as Rainton Park Wood. The 2010 Season saw the addition of water at Low Grange Farm. This is a one mile stretch of river on the opposite bank to the lower end of our current Frankland Farm Beat. It offers excellent fly fishing for the salmon and sea trout angler as well as excellent parking and location to the river.
