6lb, Bream to 7lb, Perch to 3lb and Roach and Crucians to 2lb. The tench
fishing is top quality, with fish to 6lb in nets to 60lb here.Middle Pool and Bottom pool contain mixture of coarse fish including Carp
to 10lb, Tench to 4lb, Bream to 3lb, Perch to 2lb and Roach, Rudd and Crucians to 1lb.Fishing the margins is a favourite tactic. Start a session depositing dead maggots, corn or casters as loosefeed to stop those patrolling, larger fish, in the peg.Big hook baits such as lumps of meat, bread, paste, or lobworms are the most successful on this venue. There's no need to go light on lines or tackle, as these fish are not line shy and need to be played fairly quickly to the bank due to the numerous snags and cover.Bread fished just under the surface, popped up off a lead, takes a large number of the bigger carp. Even in winter 'sunken bread' is a popular method.Waggler fishing is the most popular method, with 3AAA floats dragging line overdepth, to anchor the float out in the middle, which is the deeper section. In the shallower areas towards the reeds, floating dog biscuits fished with controller floats, will take a large carp or two. Those crucian carp, roach and rudd prefer casters. Use dried, darker colours on the hook, as these baits float on the surface or sink slowly.
