Gabriels Fishery

Gabriel's Farm, Marsh Green Rd, Edenbridge TN8 5PP

We have five huge, picturesque lakes, as well as a mile and a quarter of river fishing along the Eden's banks. The lakes are surrounded by a partial forest, which creates a contrast of light and shadow over the water. Water lilies and marginal plants provide a lovely show not only for the angler's enjoyment, but also to create an ideal environment for fish to thrive.

The River Eden begins right next to the car lot and meanders for 3/4 of a mile beyond the fishery. Chub between 3 and 7 pounds, Perch to 4.5 pounds, Pike to 24 pounds, Gudgeon, Carp, Roach, and Rudd, as well as common Bream, are the most frequent species taken in this section of river. Just north of the weir, barbel have been captured.

Admiral Lake, Carp in this lake may weigh up to 40 pounds. Admiral Lake was expanded in 2019 to improve your fishing experience. You must have a minimum 42-inch landing net, as well as a carp cradle or weighing tripod system, to fish this lake; if you do not satisfy this condition, you will be requested to fish another lake in the complex. The water depth ranges from a shallow of around a meter to three meters deep. The bottom is blue clay in the west, changing to yellow shale in the northeast.

Hare Lake is a beautiful body of water with a variety of vibrant water lilies. The reservoir is stocked with a variety of coarse fish. Roach, Rudd, and Chubb are the most common species, although there are also Common Bream, Dace, Ruffe, Gudgeon, and Carp.

Oak Lake offers deceiving fishing for fisherman seeking a greater challenge with Carp up to 33 pounds. Because of the size of the carp in this lake, you'll need at least a 42-inch landing net and a 'Bean Bag' type unhooking pad, ideally a Carp Cradle. This water is also good for catching bream, roach, rudd, and perch. The lake is dominated by islands, which provide a variety of swims and features from a variety of angles. The bottom is made up of shingle in some places, blue clay in others, and yellow clay with shale in others. As a result, the water depth varies, from a meter between the islands to five meters at the lifebelt at the lake's southern end. The poplar trees provide a beautiful reflection on the water's surface, as well as providing sunlight streaks and shade for the fish and fisherman to enjoy.

Silver Lake is where we get our match water from. It can accommodate up to 30 pegs for club reservations or private use. Grass, Common, and Mirror Carp, as well as Golden and Green Tench, Barbel, Perch, Silver Bream, Roach, Chubb, Dace, Ruffe, and Gudgeon, are among the fish species.

Swallow Lake is located on a modest hill in the open, with a view of Admiral Lake across the water. To the north, a grove of trees shelters a deep pool with a water lily in the center, where common and mirror carp up to 10 pounds rule the easy water, making it excellent for people who appreciate catching a lot of fish.
