The lakes of Barretts Park Farm are located in Heathfield's Old Heathfield neighbourhood. On the property, there are two lakes; the larger one is slightly under an acre, while the smaller one is around 2-3 acres. The more picturesque and protected of the two lakes is the smaller one. The lakes between them are home to some stunning specimen fish, including carp up to 25 pounds, tench up to over 6 pounds, perch up to over 5 pounds, eels up to 5 pounds, as well as crucian carp down to 1 pound, 8 ounces, roach and rudd down to 1 pound, 8 ounces, and tiny gudgeon. Anglers who want to spend a lot of time in the lakes will find a lot to enjoy at Barrets Park Farm waters, formerly known as Bojos Lakes.
The bottom lake has been rebuilt, and it now has far less bank side vegetation and water plant covering than the original photograph. This will inevitably grow over time and improve this protected pond.
Carp and silver fish have been among the few fish imported thus far.
The upper lake is devoid of lilies, although it does have some parts covered with rushes and overhanging plants and trees.
