Hemlington Lake sits in 39 acres of parkland surrounded by housing on the outskirts of Middlesbrough. Contains Carp, crucians, bream and rudd, roach, perch and ghost carp. Environment Agency recently built new platforms.
Over the last three years a number of major improvements have been made to the lake and its fishing facilities:
- floating islands have been installed with artificial reefs beneath,
- 30 fishing platforms have been added
- a new footpath constructed around the lake
- a wildlife habitat created and
- new footbridge built.
