Priory lake is a day ticket water, that is 60 acres with fishing to the southern and eastern sides. The central section is closed from November to March for over wintering wildfowl.
Fishing is from marked swims only and keep nets are banned from March to November, due to shallow water near the banks.
The lake is linked to the river via a pipe into the marina, so fish may pass between the lake and the river.
There is a hard standing path all around the lake, which attracts many walkers but also makes it possible to wheel your kit to your swim without going through muddy areas.
