For the last 20 years I've been running syndicates and fished for all species in my 40 years of angling but mostly catfish and carp.
One of my syndicates is called Carp Reserve (carp only) and the other is called Cat Reserve (catfish only). When i got the Houchins lakes I decided to give something to the public and not just have another private syndicate. Being an angler and hopefully knowing what anglers want out of a day ticket venue i chose to keep the cats to one lake so carp anglers have a choice to fish for Carp only if they like. There are Carp in the Cat lake because lots of anglers are still happy catching a Carp or Cat. If your a dedicated Cat angler then you have the option to fish for Cats a method Carp will not take like leeches or live bait. My aim is to please as many anglers as i can so yes you can bring your dog if you like and yes you can have visitors and guests.
With some spare Carp and Cats, I moved over 70 carp, the biggest I stocked was 26lb (not including the original stock) to the Carp lake and over 60 Cats and 40 Carp to the Cat lake including a 97lb and a massive 127lb named after a good pal who lost his life. Adam Jones (which is currently one of the biggest cats in Britain (from the angling trust big cat list). Hope you enjoy the lakes. Thanks,
