Bishops Stortford Angling Society was founded in 1949. The society controls the fishing rights on four lakes, one close to the town centre the other three in Great Hallingbury. The society also controls the fishing rights on stretches of the River Stort at Bishops Stortford and Harlow.

Don't bother with this place, carp have parrot mouths, pipped fins. No one seems to have a unhooking mat in sight. The club needs to up its game. Fish care please
