Lovells Carp Lakes is a carp fishery located near West Deeping, Peterborough in Lincolnshire. The fishery comprises of two separate lakes that contain a variety of coarse fish including Carp, Tench, Bream, Roach, Barbel. Boilies are banned on this lake, and fishing the marginal shelves are prime locations to catch here,.The older lake is much more shallow, around 4-5ft at the top end, roughly 8 ft in the middle and going to around 14ft at the bottom end. Ive found that the reedbeds and lilly pad areas will fish well, the closer you can get the better, be on the rods though as the fish here fight very well !If you cant fish the pegs that hold these features, again overhanging trees will produce. There is also a gravel bar running down most of the lake, find it and you'll catch there.Pegs are comfortable, and in most cases offer adjacent parking.Carp here average around 10-15lb, but apparently go up to, or just over 30lb.There is also a small tackle shop nearby (Opposite the petrol station by the level crossing).
