This fishery, located in the Waveney Valley in South-Norfolk, boasts some magnificent carp. The fishery is situated on private property adjacent to an old WWII airfield that is now only utilised for vintage aircraft exhibitions once or twice a year.
The Spitfire Pool and the Mustang are the two lakes that make up this fishery. Spitfire is the elder of the two, having been excavated in 2008, while Mustang is a relatively new pond.
With a weight of 48.4 pounds, Spitfire holds the record for the biggest carp. It also includes some fish that have yet to be caught, giving the lake that air of mystery that we all adore. Mustang, on the other hand, has been supplied with high-quality carp that have been hand-picked.
Over 200 carp have been stocked in this lake, which was conceived and built exclusively for fishermen' delight. Richard Wilby manages this fishery, which is run by his family.
