Wood Lane Lakes is a picturesque two-lake complex in Iver Heath, Buckinghamshire, that contains a match lake and a specimen lake. The Wood Lane Fishery is certainly worth a visit if you want to put a bend in your rod.
Carp measuring greater than 20 pounds have been reported in the match lake.
Over 270 pounds is the match lake record for a six-hour match, which is back-breaking stuff.
The best way is to keep the feed moving in by fishing a carp waggler 18–24 inches below the surface. You'll have a great day fishing because it's stocked with all of the major species, but don't anticipate any monsters. The records committee has received a prospective Gudgeon record. Perch weighing more over 4 pounds have taken up home.
One or two huge carp may be seen in the specimen lake, with the largest weighing more than 32 pounds. At some time in the future, the lake will greatly benefit from some netting to eliminate some of the smaller fish. This will allow some of these carp to realize their full potential.
