Lodge Farm Fisheries, located in Fritwell (near Bicester), offers two lakes that provide excellent fishing opportunities, depending on the style of fishing you love. The specimen lake is the first lake. Here you'll discover a healthy population of carp and three islets to fish. The second lake is the match lake, which still has a healthy population of carp but also has a diverse range of other species to target. There are roach, perch, a few bream, and a tench or two included in this catch.
The specimen lake is home to carp weighing up to 25 pounds. This lake also has a high number of carp reaching double digits. The match lake also includes a few occupants who exceed ten pounds, but the majority of the carp in this lake are now under ten pounds. Additionally, the match lake is home to perch up to 4 pounds and roach up to 2 pounds. Thus, regardless of the species you choose to pursue, you might get a personal best here.
Lodge Farm's specimen lake is extensively fished by carp fishermen who all use identical approaches. To differentiate yourself from the mob of anglers, utilize an odiferous bait and amp up the odor with Goos and flavorings.
The match lake is ideal for fishing with a pole or a float. Almost any approach will work on this lake, but for the larger ones, stay down to the lake bottom.
