The Kilthorpe pools complex is made up of two old lakes which were once used by monks to fish farm carp. Today the lakes contain both mirror and common carp to over 40lb with a large number of backup 30lb carp.

In order to fish on the complex, you will need to book in advance. The long pool has a maximum of 5 anglers allowed on at any given point. It costs £15.00 for a day ticket with 24-hour tickets costing £30.00. The specimen lake costs £50.00 per 24 hours to fish, which is expensive however there are some absolute gems in the lake. Accommodation is available on site.
