This gravel pit is around 8 acres in size and lies just outside Lydd. This pit has depths of between 6’ and 8’ and as with most gravel pits there are many features present such as reeds, shallow areas, bars and troughs.
On November 17th 2012, 30 double figure carp were stocked into the pit to add to the stocking of the water, which currently holds carp to 33lb, bream to over 16lb, tench to 12lb plus some specimen sized roach and rudd with eels and a few pike.
There is also a small section of the pit that the owner has allocated for day ticket anglers who use the campsite, but members of Cranbrook and District Angling Club are also allowed to fish this area.
