The Southdown Angling Association owns Hempstead Ponds, which are close to Hempstead Lane and off the A22. About 550 yards off the A22 and almost opposite the entrance to Tilehurst Farm, there is a gate on the right side that provides access to the fishery.

A challenging route runs beside the right-hand hedge to a second gate. Parking is requested along this track. Also, take careful to lock the gates. The second gate provides access to the pond on foot. To the half-left, approximately 300 yards away, lies the second pond. Carp and tench are supplied at Hempstead Ponds.

There is no night fishing and only barbless hooks are allowed.
