Newton Park

Newton Park, Newton St. Loe, Bath BA2 9BN., Corston, BA2 9, Wilts, United Kingdom

Bathampton Angling Association is the owner of the lake.

Day tickets must be dated and put in the appropriate ticket box, along with membership numbers.

Take the A4 towards Bristol from Bath, then take the A39 towards Marksbury at the roundabout for the "Globe Inn." Turn left to enter the college grounds almost immediately. Continue straight to the left-hand car park (signposted). The vehicle lot is just across from the lake.

Carp are plentiful, with the biggest weighing up to 30 pounds and a great number of backup doubles and twenties. Also present are pike, roach, silver bream, and eels.

This lake is home to the increasingly scarce silver bream. Newton Park is one of the few U.K. fisheries with specimens measuring more than a pound, which is quite near to, if not greater than, the English record.

This is the spot to go if you want to have a lot of fun while fishing for incredibly hardy fish.
