Grayling and Brown Trout can only be caught using traditional fly fishing techniques.
A premier spring-fed limestone river with a robust population of free-rising wild trout and a plenty of insect life, including (typically) an excellent mayfly hatch.
Beat 1 - Shockerwick
From Bath, take the A4 to Box. To get to Shockerwick, continue on the A4 after passing the Bradford-on-Avon roundabout at Bathford. Don't park too close to the creek; you don't want to impede access to the road. There are signs on the ground to indicate where the fishing is allowed.
Beat Two - Middlehill.
To get to Middlehill, go beyond the Shockerwick turn for Beat 1 and take the next left. The park is on the other side of the creek, to the right. There are signs on the ground to indicate where the fishing is allowed.
